In order for a valve guide to function optimally it must be made from correct material and the best quality. Correctness in dimensions allows the valve stem to optimal clearance in the valve guide.
Most valve guides are made from a highly alloyed cast iron that has a phosphorous content which creates minute porosity in the microstructure. This diminutive porosity holds oil and thereby self lubricates the valve stem. SSV has an in house foundry that produces the various raw materials required to comply with the OEM’s.
